Fisheries Research Services

The Fisheries Research Services, an executive agency of the Scottish Government, works with the aquaculture industry to ensure that the quality of Scotland's marine environment is maintained.

This work is undertaken in a variety of ways, focusing on issues such as prevalence of sea lice, health and welfare, use of medicines by approved veterinary surgeons and control of discharges by the Scottish Environment Protection Agency.
