Government support for aquaculture

The new Scottish Government is fully committed to supporting a successful, competitive and diverse aquaculture industry in Scotland.

Announced in October 2007, a new strategy is to replace the existing 'Strategic Framework for Scottish Aquaculture', which was launched in 2003.

The new vision for the industry will seek to maximise benefits from the industry in a sustainable fashion.
