The Aquaculture Information Bureau (AIB) is a new, virtual resource set up to provide authoritative information about the sector.

The main objectives of the AIB are:

• to enhance the profile of the aquaculture industry as a whole, and;
• to facilitate improved communication across the various different sectors.

The initial partner organisations are:

• Shetland Aquaculture
• Association of Scottish Shellfish Growers
• The Seafish Industry Authority
• Scottish Salmon Producers' Organisation
• Seafood Shetland
